Exciting changes have landed at EZA, and here’s what you need to know.

If you haven’t already noticed, we’ve got a fresh, new look! Welcome to our latest website. Here, you’ll discover how we make it our mission to empower young learners and all that EZA has to offer.

Find features and insights like these on our new,  dedicated blog page. The Learning Lab brings you the latest in EdTech, shares inspiring stories, and covers relevant tech highlights across the globe.

EZA aims not only to inspire, but to provide students with learning opportunities for their future success. Which is why we are introducing:

  1. Culturally Relevant, Upgraded Programs

Unlock the future and unpack the fundamentals with our new programs!

If you’re curious about how AI works and its growing impact, our AI Foundations program explores what you need to know about AI from core processes and technologies to machine learning concepts. This course aims to fill in the knowledge gap and help students discern between the AI hype and the actual technologies behind it. Students will explore how AI functions at a fundamental level, including when and how it should be applied. They will examine real-life applications such as Image Classification, Computer Vision and Model Training while developing an understanding of the broader implications of AI. Through practical experience, students will begin applying these concepts, preparing them with the skills and knowledge needed for future work in this field.

Our brand-new Prompt Engineering with AI course focuses on mastering the language of AI through creative challenges. You’ll learn to understand how prompts work and how AI interprets them. Discover what really makes a good prompt through crafting, evaluation and optimization. We introduce fundamental concepts from large language models (LLM) to popular prompt patterns, such as translators and summarizers, as you work with platforms such as GPT and Co-Pilot. Sharpen your communication skills and deliver precise results. Prompt engineering has applications in a wide range of sectors from tech to creative industries, making this course a viable option for many.

We’ve also leveled-up our hardware kits. Introducing the micro:bit  a physical, programmable micro-controller and the perfect IoT tool to get students to engage in creative projects and to create real-world solutions. This hands-on project allows students to bring their visual ideas to life while observing in real-time how their code translates onto actual hardware.

  1. Entering Global Competitions

Meet like-minded students, tackle complex challenges and build compelling prototypes for your maker's portfolio. Students can gain valuable and early, real-world exposure to the world of tech.

The exciting, international competitions we send our students to compete in currently include:

  • BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge

  • The Coolest Projects International Competition

  • Youth Coding Jam

  • Math and Informatics Olympiads

Through guided support, our competition courses focus on refining computational skills with a healthy, competitive spirit!

  1. Leveraging AI

Our programs are designed for students to leverage AI, not fully rely on it. For instance, students may use AI to break down ideas and concepts, create boilerplate code or conduct research. In doing so, this process encourages critical thinking and skill development as students learn to apply AI tools and verify their sources of information.

At the same time, it’s crucial to understand that AI has its limitations. As a result, we emphasise on the importance of independent thinking and judgement when leveraging AI in education. We encourage students to critically evaluate what the AI generates and come to a conclusion based on their own observations. Through repeated, practical exposure to using AI responsibly in learning, students eventually develop a strong foundation that allows them to carry these skills forward and confidently navigate an AI-driven world.

  1. Level Up with Curriculum Roadmaps and Progress Reports

Our revamped, layered curriculum focuses on learning progression and depth supported by refined roadmaps that feature levels of study. Our programs dive deep into core topics as students advance through detailed, structured levels of their chosen course. By arranging our course curriculum into levels, students are able to build a solid understanding in key areas,  apply their knowledge as they go and earn certifications as checkpoints for their progress .

With each course level, our experienced instructors offer personalised support that can help monitor students’ progress, identify strengths and offer the resources needed towards areas of improvement. Find more about our detailed curriculum roadmap in our upcoming blog post.

Students (and parents) can request access to detailed progress reports that highlight not just key competencies, but also target areas for improvement. We work closely with students and parents to achieve the best outcomes.
